The Mori Arts Center Gallery will host, from the 31st of October 2009 till
the 17th of January 2010, the prestigious retrospective exhibition "The Spirit of Beauty" scanning over 100 years of creation by the Maison of
Van Cleef & Arpels.

"The Spirit of Beauty" will unveil to visitors jewels, timepieces, fashion accessories and objets d’art, in all over two hundred and fifty pieces coming from the House of Van Cleef & Arpels and other French and international collections.

In an original scenography by Patrick Jouin, who orchestrates this exquisite ensemble, the 1000sq meters of the Mori Arts Center Gallery are transformed into a dreamlike journey. Placed under the protection and magic of fairies, it is built around four themes: The Spirit of Nature, The Spirit of Elegance, The Spirit of Adventure and Incarnations. This stroll at the heart of Van Cleef & Arpel’s style is truly wondrous. It is an opportunity to discover the Maison’s savoir-faire, the enchantment of exceptional precious stones and the brilliance of several generations of jewellers. And to delve into the thousand and one stories elonging to each jewel that make up the History of Van Cleef & Arpels.
